Overview

We are hosting the first joint Swiss-German “Hands On” Geodynamics WORKSHOP in September 2002 designed to be held under the auspices of the German DGG and the ETH Zürich.

The title "Hands On" means that the workshop will be practical. A computer room will be reserved and computational facilities of the ETH will be available.

The workshop is set out for 3 days and has the aim of giving a comparative introduction to solid- and computational-fluid-dynamic numerical methods for geodynamic modelling.

The initiative is particularly aimed at promoting graduate and postgraduate research and collaboration.

A circular with all the details about this workshop will be issued during July 2002.
